Zurich, Wednesday, 29 November 2017. According to the Michael Page Swiss Job Index, IT showed the highest rate of growth in advertised jobs of any sector. Year-to-date (January – November 2017) growth in advertised IT jobs was +43.7% and +3.0% (October – November 2017). The IT sector also accounted for the top 3 job categories showing the highest monthly growth (October-November 2017).
“We’re seeing strong demand for professionals with IT as well as banking knowledge and experience – especially those providing the link between the developers and the business”, said Charles Franier, Executive Director, Michael Page.
Across Switzerland advertised job vacancies grew by +0.5% between October and November 2017. Year-to-date growth was 24.9%. The German speaking region and the Swiss Romande both grew by +0.5% with year-to-date growth of +25.3% and +23.9% respectively. The growth in job vacancies was strongest in the Mid region with monthly growth of +3.8% and year-to-date growth of 35.9%.
