Zurich, Wednesday, 22 May 2019. According to the Michael Page Swiss Job Index, advertised jobs showed a yearly growth of +15.1% across Switzerland (May 2018 – May 2019). Monthly growth (April– May 2019) in advertised jobs declined by -1.0%. The German speaking region, which accounts for 9 out of 10 advertised jobs, experienced a monthly decline in advertised jobs of -1.1%. The level of advertised jobs in Swiss Romande declined by -0.3% between April and May. Year-on-year growth in both regions increased; with Zurich showing a growth of +13.4% (May 2018 – May 2019) and Geneva experiencing a + 24.6% growth over the same period.

Insurance roles showed the highest monthly growth followed by specialisations in health and life sciences, private banking, IT support, as well as transport and logistics.
