Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar Jobs Added 05/10/20262-month contract starting quicklyInternational organization located in GenevaAbout Our ClientOur client is an international organization located in Geneva.Job DescriptionThe Specialist, Debt to Health, will be responsible of the following:Participate to the implementation and expansion of the organization's Debt to Health initiative, using debt swap mechanisms to increase sustainable fundingStructure, negotiate, and execute bilateral and tripartite debt swap agreements with governments, creditors, donors, and development partnersIdentify and develop new D2H opportunities, increasing both the number and value of debt conversion transactions while improving efficiency and reducing transaction costsManage stakeholder relationships and coordinate with country teams, donors, government officials, and external partners throughout the lifecycle of D2H transactionsMonitor the performance, compliance, and reporting requirements of D2H agreements, ensuring adherence to audit, governance, and contractual obligationsPrepare reports and provide updates to internal governance bodies, including finance and approval committees, as well as external stakeholders such as creditors and debtor countriesRepresent the organization in external meetings, conferences, and discussions related to debt relief, debt management, innovative finance, and health financingBuild strategic partnerships with development banks, bilateral donors, financial institutions, and other organizations to strengthen and expand innovative financing initiativesSupport fundraising and donor engagement efforts by promoting new Debt to Health commitments and contributionsContribute to the organization's broader innovative and blended finance agenda, including developing blended finance transactions, managing investment pipelines, and fostering collaboration with multilateral development banks and other development finance institutionsThe Successful ApplicantThe Specialist, Debt to Health we are looking for should bring the following background and experience :Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Public Health, Health Economics, or a related fieldStrong expertise in development finance and innovative financing mechanisms, particularly blended finance, structured finance, or similar funding modelsProven ability to originate, structure, and manage complex financial transactions in developing or emerging marketsDemonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships with multilateral development banks, development finance institutions, donors, private investors, and corporate partnersStrong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in complex, matrixed, and multicultural environmentsExcellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving capabilities, coupled with an entrepreneurial mindset and a track record of developing innovative solutionsSolid project management experience, including financial oversight, risk assessment, reporting, compliance, and coordination of cross-functional initiativesDeep interest in global health financingWhat's on OfferThe opportunity to join a major non-profit organization for an initial 2-month mandate.Quote job refJN-102026-7118425Job summaryJob FunctionAccounting, Audit & Advisory, Tax and TreasurySpecialisationPublic SectorIndustryNot For ProfitWhereGenevaContract TypeInterimJob ReferenceJN-102026-7118425
