Job Description

  • Manage end-to-end accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger postings, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, management reports, and P&L reporting.
  • Lead budget preparation, financial forecasting, and expenditure tracking.
  • Analyse budget variances and provide financial recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with Swiss accounting requirements, VAT regulations, and statutory obligations.
  • Act as a key contact for VAT-related topics, supporting international transactions and country-specific requirements where applicable.
  • Coordinate audit preparation and liaise with external auditors, accountants, and advisors.
  • Drive financial process improvements, internal controls, and reporting efficiencies.
  • Support ERP optimisation and data quality initiatives, with a preference for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, controlling, or financial management.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and P&L management.
  • Proven experience creating, managing, and monitoring budgets and forecasts.
  • Practical knowledge of Swiss VAT and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Exposure to international VAT regulations or cross-border VAT consulting is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on ERP experience, ideally with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Fluent English is required; German is considered a strong advantage.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently in an international environment.
