About Our Client

Our client is a well-established international organization based in Geneva. To support an increase in project activity, they are looking to recruit two Associate Editorial Managers on a 6-month Interim Mission

Job Description

Reporting to the Editorial Management team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Editing and preparing English-language documents for publication, including alignment with French-language content where required.
  • Managing projects through multiple editorial and production stages while ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Conducting editorial reviews and evaluations of documents throughout the publication lifecycle.
  • Providing guidance and editorial support to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the resolution of editorial and publication-related issues.
  • Building strong working relationships with international stakeholders through virtual collaboration.
  • Facilitating the smooth progression of projects through the production workflow.
  • Supporting and troubleshooting XML-based publishing processes and digital publication tools.
  • Work within a digital-first editorial environment using online publishing and collaboration platforms.
  • Leveraging AI-assisted editing and content management solutions to improve editorial efficiency and publication quality.
  • Contributing to the continuous evolution of editorial workflows through the adoption of emerging publishing technologies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize digital publishing processes and user experience.
  • Support the transition from traditional document-based editing towards modern online publishing environments.

The Successful Applicant

Essential Criteria

  • Degree in Translation, Languages, Literature, Technical Writing, Research, Publishing or a related field.
  • Previous experience in technical editing, publishing, content management, documentation or translation.
  • Native-level or near-native English proficiency (C1/C2 mandatory).
  • Professional French level (minimum B2).
  • Comfortable working across a variety of digital publishing, content management and online collaboration tools.
  • Excellent written communication and proofreading abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in a structured and process-driven environment.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of XML publishing environments.
  • Experience with eXtyles, Typefi, InDesign or similar publishing technologies.
  • Previous experience within an international and multicultural organization.
  • Familiarity with digital publishing workflows.
