Our client, a leading international private bank based in Geneva, is looking for a dynamic Head of Securities Operations to lead a key operational department and contribute to the continuous evolution of its operating model.

Job Description



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of operations professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the efficient execution of day-to-day activities within the department while maintaining high standards of quality, control, and client service.
  • Drive operational excellence initiatives by reviewing workflows, identifying efficiencies, and implementing process enhancements.
  • Lead and support cross-functional projects, change initiatives, and transformation programs impacting the Operations division.
  • Monitor operational performance through KPIs and management reporting, ensuring objectives are met and risks are appropriately managed.
  • Strengthen the control framework and ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Act as a key partner to internal stakeholders across Front Office, Compliance, Risk, IT, and other Operations teams.
  • Contribute to strategic discussions regarding operating model evolution, automation opportunities, and service enhancements.
  • Manage operational risks proactively and ensure timely escalation and resolution of issues.
  • Promote employee engagement, talent development, and succession planning within the team.

The Successful Applicant



Your Profile

  • Significant experience leading operational teams within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Proven track record in people management, team development, and leadership of managers or senior specialists.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, with exposure to securities, custody, asset servicing, funds, or related operational activities considered a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience driving process improvement, operational efficiency, and change management initiatives.
  • Experience leading or contributing to cross-functional projects and business transformation programs.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions.
  • Results-oriented mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Sound understanding of operational risk, controls, and governance principles.
  • Fluency in French and English is required.
  • Swiss residency is mandatory.
