Job Description

The Commercial Procurement Manager (m/f/d) serves as a key interface between engineering, commercial, finance, and project teams, ensuring efficient procurement and sourcing activities throughout all project phases.

  • Manages the sourcing and procurement of goods, equipment, and services for international infrastructure and EPC projects
  • Collaborates with engineering and cost management teams to support budgeting, cost planning, and the maintenance of cost databases
  • Develops and implements procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and business objectives
  • Coordinates with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify and execute effective sourcing solutions
  • Supports tender and bid activities through supplier engagement and sourcing expertise
  • Leads commercial negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors while ensuring compliance with contractual and performance requirements
  • Contributes to the preparation, review, and administration of contracts and related documentation
  • Monitors project developments and adjusts procurement plans, strategies, and budget forecasts accordingly
  • Oversees international logistics activities, including transportation, customs, insurance, and Incoterms management
  • Reviews and validates supplier invoices and supports claims and dispute resolution processes
    Ensures the timely delivery and receipt of goods and services across project locations

The Successful Applicant

For this challenging and international role, the ideal candidate brings:

  • Successfully completed bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, construction management, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, ideally within infrastructure or construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and commercial frameworks
  • Familiarity with Export Credit Agency (ECA) reporting is an advantage
  • Solid analytical and numerical skills, including proficiency in Excel
  • Good understanding of construction processes, materials, and related commercial/legal aspects
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations, governance, and compliance standards
  • Experience in coordinating or leading teams in a multicultural environment
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented working style
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Fluency in English, additional languages are a plus
