About Our Client

Our client is a globally recognised organisation operating at the intersection of sport, performance, and brand experience. With a strong commitment to athlete partnerships and storytelling, they are seeking a highly capable Athlete Events Specialist to support a critical period of athlete engagement activity ideally at least from AUG to NOV 2026.

Job Description

You will be responsible for leading the end-to-end design and delivery of high-impact athlete engagement experiences. This role will play a key part in enhancing the consistency, quality, and strategic relevance of athlete-focused events globally.Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the full lifecycle of athlete events, from strategic concept development through to execution and post-event evaluation
  • Design and deliver premium, authentic experiences aligned with athlete needs, performance cycles, and brand objectives
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with elite and professional athletes, ensuring a highly tailored and credible engagement approach
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Athlete Strategy, Brand, Product, and People teams to translate business priorities into impactful experiences
  • Oversee budgets, suppliers, production partners, and operational delivery at global scale
  • Ensure consistent event standards while driving innovation and continuous improvement across formats and activations
  • Act as a key contributor to the development of a structured and scalable athlete engagement programme



The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience working directly with elite or professional athletes, sports organisations, federations, or high-performance environments
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience leading complex, high-profile events internationally
  • Strong understanding of the athlete lifecycle, including training, competition, and recovery dynamics
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility and trust with athlete communities
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capabilities in fast-paced, stakeholder-driven environments
  • Experience managing budgets, agencies, and suppliers across multiple markets
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to influence across diverse internal teams
  • Creative and innovative approach, balanced with strong operational rigour
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
