About Our Client

Our client is a global, research-driven healthcare company focused on developing innovative treatments, with operations and teams spanning multiple international markets.

Job Description

  • Act as the main tax contact for the countries in scope, advising business stakeholders (finance, legal, supply chain, HR, etc.) on tax implications of transactions and initiatives
  • Manage relationships with local tax authorities and ensure clear, professional communication
  • Oversee corporate income tax compliance and lead tax audit defense, coordinating closely with shared service teams (e.g. TBS in Poland) and external advisors
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks across the region
  • Lead and coordinate tax audits, including data requests and alignment with global tax teams on defense strategies
  • Monitor and improve processes for indirect taxes, withholding taxes, and other local taxes
  • Track relevant legislative changes and assess their impact on the business
  • Coordinate transfer pricing matters (documentation and adjustments) in collaboration with the TP team
  • Review contracts and business initiatives from a tax perspective

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong technical expertise in corporate and international tax
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and provide clear, practical recommendations
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders across regions and functions
  • Experience managing tax compliance, audits, and external advisors
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field (tax specialization preferred)
  • Relevant tax experience (ideally within Pharma or Big 4)
  • Solid understanding of regional tax frameworks, including Eastern Europe
