Job Description

Research & Information Services

  • Deliver high-quality research, reference, and literature search support to internal stakeholders
  • Develop tailored information products, reading lists, and research briefings
  • Advise users on information discovery tools, search methodologies, and reference management solutions
  • Coordinate document delivery services and external resource requests



Collection & Content Management

  • Manage the development and maintenance of both digital and physical information resources
  • Evaluate, acquire, and optimize collections based on evolving user needs and organizational priorities
  • Oversee electronic resource access, licensing, and subscription management
  • Ensure information resources remain accurate, accessible, and relevant



Knowledge Organization & Metadata

  • Create and maintain high-quality metadata and cataloguing records
  • Manage taxonomies, classification structures, and controlled vocabularies
  • Improve information discoverability and retrieval through effective knowledge organization practices
  • Support ongoing data quality improvement initiatives



Systems & Digital Services

  • Administer library and information management platforms
  • Collaborate with technology teams and external vendors on system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations
  • Monitor system performance and support operational reporting requirements
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of digital information management solutions



Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Explore and leverage emerging technologies, including AI-based solutions, to enhance information services
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, user experience, and operational efficiency
  • Lead and support small-scale projects related to systems, metadata, and service improvements
  • Drive innovation within information and knowledge management practices



Governance, Compliance & Vendor Management

  • Ensure compliance with copyright, licensing, and data protection requirements
  • Support procurement activities, contract administration, and vendor management processes
  • Monitor service performance and provide insights through relevant KPIs and reporting
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and best practices



Stakeholder & External Collaboration

  • Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders to understand evolving information needs
  • Develop partnerships with academic institutions, research organizations, and professional networks
  • Promote information services and raise awareness of available resources across the organization

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Library & Information Science, Information Management, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within a professional library, information management, or knowledge services environment
  • Experience working independently in a research-intensive or knowledge-driven organization
  • Practical exposure to library systems, information platforms, and metadata management
  • Experience participating in projects such as system implementations, digital transformation initiatives, or process improvement programs
  • Demonstrated interest in applying emerging technologies, particularly AI, within information management services
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English



Nice to Have

  • Experience gained in academic, research, central banking, governmental, or international organization environments
  • Postgraduate qualification in Library & Information Science or Information Management
  • German and/or French language skills
