We are seeking an experienced Commercial Advisor to support Procurement and Finance teams on a high-impact transformation programme. The role focuses on commercial analysis, deal structuring, supplier negotiations, and contractual risk management within a complex technology and outsourcing environment. Start ASAP, 50% (to start with) for a min. of 2 months.

About Our Client

Our client is a globally recognised organisation undertaking a strategic finance transformation programme. As part of a move towards AI-enabled operating models and next-generation service delivery, they are seeking an experienced commercial advisor to support procurement strategy, supplier negotiations, and contractual risk management. This is an interim assignment with an initial duration of 2 months (with potential extension) and a 50% workload at the outset. An immediate start is preferred.

Job Description

  • Analyse and compare vendor financial proposals, business cases, and commercial models
  • Identify cost drivers, commercial risks, hidden assumptions, and optimisation opportunities
  • Support the design of innovative pricing and incentive structures linked to performance outcomes
  • Advise Procurement and Finance leadership on commercial strategy and supplier selection
  • Lead and facilitate complex commercial negotiations with external partners
  • Partner closely with Legal teams to strengthen contractual protections and risk mitigation measures
  • Support drafting and negotiation of termination, transition, intellectual property, and governance provisions
  • Ensure commercial frameworks align with long-term business and operational objectives

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Advisor, Consulting, Procurement Consultant, Strategic Sourcing Expert, or similar role
  • Strong background in large-scale transformation programmes, outsourcing engagements, or technology-enabled business change
  • Extensive experience negotiating complex multi-year commercial agreements
  • Knowledge of value-based pricing models, performance incentives, and risk-sharing frameworks
  • Understanding of cloud-based ecosystems, technology vendors, and digital transformation environments
  • Experience addressing contractual topics such as IP rights, data portability, governance, and exit strategies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate sophisticated financial and commercial models
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication capabilities
  • Comfortable influencing senior Procurement, Finance, Legal, and business leaders
