Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar Jobs Added 06/08/2026act as the primary operational contact for assigned vesselswork closely with Masters, charterers, brokers, shipowners, agents, terminals...About Our ClientFor our client a small and international shipping company, we are currently looking for a Tanker Operations SpecialistJob DescriptionManage the day-to-day commercial operation of assigned tanker vessels from fixture to voyage completion.Ensure voyages are performed safely, efficiently and in compliance with charter party terms, international regulations and company procedures.Coordinate with Masters, charterers, brokers, agents, terminals, technical managers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth voyage execution.Monitor vessel schedules, cargo operations, port calls and voyage performance, taking proactive action to minimise delays and operational risks.Protect Owners' commercial interests by identifying contractual issues, preserving evidence and managing operational aspects of claims and disputes.Review and verify voyage documentation, including Bills of Lading, Statements of Facts, Notices of Readiness and other operational records.Monitor voyage expenses and support the accurate settlement of freight, hire, demurrage and other voyage-related accounts.Provide timely operational guidance and support to vessel Masters, including during emergencies and critical incidents.The Successful ApplicantBachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, Marine Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration or a related discipline. Equivalent industry experience may be considered.Minimum of 3 years' experience in tanker operations, ship management or vessel operations.Seagoing experience on oil, chemical or product tankers is highly desirable.Strong understanding of tanker charter parties, voyage execution and commercial shipping operations.Excellent command of written and spoken English.
