About Our Client

Our client is a leading global investment firm with a strong presence in private markets. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Fund Controller to join their finance and fund operations team.

Job Description

  • Lead and coordinate annual audits across a diverse portfolio of private markets funds and investment structures.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, fund administrators, and internal stakeholders throughout the reporting cycle.
  • Review and challenge NAV calculations, financial statements, and investor reporting packages to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Ensure reporting is prepared in accordance with IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Assess technical accounting matters and evaluate their impact on fund valuations and financial reporting.
  • Partner closely with external fund administrators to oversee periodic NAV production and statutory reporting processes.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance reporting controls, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen governance processes.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of best practices across the function.



The Successful Applicant

  • 8+ years of experience in fund accounting, fund controlling, financial reporting, audit, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience working with private markets funds, including semi-liquid fund structures. This is a critical requirement for the role.
  • Strong expertise in IFRS and financial reporting within an investment management or funds environment.
  • Deep understanding of NAV methodologies, fund structures, audit processes, and financial statement preparation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with international stakeholders.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional knowledge of Lux GAAP, UK GAAP, or US GAAP.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong systems proficiency.
  • Exposure to SQL, Python, VBA, eFront, or similar fund accounting platforms.
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
