As part of the continued growth of its Metals business, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join its Geneva-based team

Job Description



Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct detailed credit analyses and provide recommendations on counterparties and transactions.
  • Monitor global credit events, industry developments, and market trends impacting the Metals business.
  • Perform periodic credit reviews and assign internal credit ratings and limits.
  • Monitor portfolio exposures and oversee daily credit risk reporting activities.
  • Ensure effective limit monitoring, breach escalation, margining, and risk mitigation processes.
  • Manage and maintain credit insurance policies.
  • Participate in strategic projects and initiatives within the Credit Risk function.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with counterparties, banks, and financial institutions.
  • Partner closely with traders and provide ongoing credit support for commercial activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit records and documentation.
  • Support transaction execution through the negotiation and review of credit-related contractual clauses.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Credit Risk, Credit Analysis, or a similar role.
  • Strong experience within the metals trading sector is essential.
  • Excellent financial analysis and credit assessment capabilities.
  • Sound understanding of credit risk management principles, banking practices, and control frameworks.
  • Ability to analyse complex financial statements and corporate structures.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced and dynamic trading environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Fluent English is required.
  • Spanish language skills would be considered a strong advantage.
