To support ongoing manufacturing operations and site expansion activities, they are looking for a Production Planner (a) to join their team in Switzerland, in September.One year contract with potential extension.Job DescriptionAs Production Planner (a), you will be responsible for developing and maintaining manufacturing schedules to support clinical and commercial production activities within a GMP-regulated environment. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Materials Management, Engineering, Validation, and Site Leadership to ensure production plans are executed efficiently while proactively managing constraints and risks.Key responsibilities include:Develop and maintain daily manufacturing production schedules for clinical and commercial programs.Support medium- and long-term production planning activities to meet manufacturing demand.Manage and coordinate product changeover schedules and timelines.Monitor production progress and work closely with manufacturing teams to track completion status and update schedules as needed.Ensure accurate planning of resources, capacity, and operational requirements.Proactively identify scheduling constraints, risks, and bottlenecks, and propose alternative solutions.Support facility readiness activities, including commissioning, qualification/validation (CQV), shutdowns, and changeovers.Plan and track maintenance activities (routine and non-routine) to minimize impact on production.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Materials, Quality, Engineering, Validation, and Plant Management.Drive issue resolution to support project and production success.Communicate planning, scheduling, and operational updates to stakeholders in a timely manner.Report project and scheduling status to management and relevant teams.Identify opportunities to improve planning systems and processes and recommend solutions.The Successful ApplicantDegree in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related business/science/technical field3-5 years of experience in a GMP-regulated industryExperience with production planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environmentUnderstanding of biologics/protein manufacturing processesStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and escalate issuesContinuous improvement mindset with a focus on process optimizationFamiliarity with ERP systems such as Infor or OracleStrong Excel Skills (e.g. Macros)What's on OfferOpportunity to join a world-leading biotechnology company.Exposure to cutting-edge clinical and commercial manufacturing operations.Dynamic, cross-functional and international working environment.12-month contract with immediate start.Quote job refJN-082026-7077073Job summaryJob FunctionLogistics, Procurement & Supply ChainSpecialisationProduction PlanningIndustryHealthcare / PharmaceuticalWhereSolothurnContract TypeInterimJob ReferenceJN-082026-7077073
