Job Description

The selected candidate plays a crucial role in supporting the Purchasing team with the processing of purchase orders and related procurement activities, primarily in the area of indirect purchasing, by carrying out the following key responsibilities:

  • Provides operational support to the Purchasing team across a range of procurement activities
  • Assesses purchase requisitions and supplier offers in accordance with established procurement policies and procedures
  • Processes purchase orders accurately and efficiently based on approved requisitions.
  • Reviews contracts to ensure compliance with applicable terms, conditions, and internal requirements
  • Ensures data consistency, integrity, and transparency throughout the procurement process and associated control activities

The Successful Applicant

In order to be considered for the role, the ideal candidate must have:

  • Successfully completed commercial diploma; bachelor's or master's degree in law, business administration or facilities management desirable
  • No prior procurement experience is required; the ideal candidate is a quick learner with a strong willingness to develop their knowledge and skills in procurement.
  • Proficiency in English and German at a professional working level,
  • Familiarity with ERP and invoice processing systems (e.g. Oracle Fusion, SAP, or comparable platforms) and the ability to navigate and utilize such tools effectively.
  • An interest in procurement and a basic understanding of purchasing and contracting processes.
  • Experience using document management systems or other digital tools to organize and manage business records efficiently.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy.
