The Payroll Expert is responsible for the accurate and compliant payroll and personnel administration for approximately 1000 employees across multiple Swiss locations. The role combines hands-on payroll expertise, coordination of a local payroll team, and active contribution to process and system optimization.

Job Description

  • Ensure smooth and compliant payroll and HR administration for around 1000 employees at the main site and affiliated entities
  • Handle all payroll-relevant and insurance-related activities, including coordination with social security institutions, authorities, and external partners
  • Manage year-end payroll processes and statutory reporting
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding social insurance, withholding tax, pension fund, time management, and related topics
  • Participate in cross-functional projects such as the development of HR KPIs, statistics, and reports
  • Actively contribute to the optimization of payroll processes, systems, and interfaces (SAP HCM)
  • Ensure high service quality, compliance, and data accuracy at all times

The Successful Applicant

  • Completed further education in payroll administration or social insurance (mandatory)
  • Several years of experience in a similar payroll function, preferably within an international organization
  • Very strong knowledge of SAP HCM and solid understanding of HR-related processes and system interfaces
  • Service-oriented, hands-on personality with a proactive, structured, and precise working style
  • Fluent German (written and spoken) and very good English skills; French is an advantage
  • Ability to coordinate stakeholders and work independently in a complex environment
