Job Description

  • Objective: bring in someone able to relieve operational pressure, connect topics across functions and progressively act as a team referent



Key ResponsibilitiesOperational & Technical (core of the role - ~70-80%)

  • Oversee and actively handle day-to-day Middle Office Securities activities across asset classes
  • Ensure smooth processing and control of transactions, including complex or non-standard cases (e.g. Private Equity flows)
  • Act as a go-to person for complex operational issues and internal queries (Help Desk mindset)
  • Maintain a strong focus on accuracy, risk awareness and operational efficiency



Transversal & Coordination

  • Act as a bridge between teams (Front Office, Operations, IT, Risk, etc.)
  • Understand who does what across the organisation and facilitate communication flows
  • Contribute to process improvements, organisation and problem-solving initiatives



Leadership (informal / evolving)

  • Support and guide 2 team members on a functional level
  • Bring structure, organisation and prioritisation to the team
  • Act as a relay for the Head of, without formal managerial responsibility initially



The Successful Applicant

Profile

Experience & Background

  • Strong experience in Middle Office, Operations or Client Services within banking / asset management
  • Versatile and transversal exposure is key (not a siloed role)
  • Experience in securities operations across multiple asset classes (including some exposure to alternatives / PE is a plus)
  • Candidates from Client Services / Front Support roles with strong technical understanding are welcome



Skills & Mindset

  • Strong technical understanding of operations and workflows
  • Ability to connect topics across functions and understand the "big picture"
  • Solution-oriented: knows where to find answers and how to solve problems
  • Highly organised, structured, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-moving and less structured environment
  • S2i, a plus

  • Comfortable in a collaborative, human-centric environment with frequent interactions
