Job Description

Key responsibilities:

    • Provide legal advice on Swiss banking, financial services, AML and regulatory matters, partnering closely with business and control functions.
    • Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of contractual documentation, including client agreements, outsourcing, IT, vendor and confidentiality agreements.
    • Handle requests from regulatory, judicial and administrative authorities, and support suspicious activity reporting (SAR/MROS filings), investigations and regulatory enquiries.
    • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assist with the implementation of new regulatory requirements, policies and procedures.
    • Support litigation, sanctions, cross-border matters and strategic legal transformation initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

The Successful Candidate:

  • Possess a Master's degree in Swiss Law; Swiss Bar admission is a plus.
  • < 2 years of experience in a Swiss law firm, private bank or regulated financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of Swiss banking and financial regulations and the operational environment of financial institutions.
  • Fluent French and English; German and/or Italian would be an asset.
  • Analytical, pragmatic and detail-oriented professional with excellent judgement and discretion.
  • Hands-on, proactive and solutions-oriented professional who enjoys working cross-functionally
