About Our Client

Our client is a well-established financial services organisation with a strong focus on risk management, analytics and innovation. This 6-month contract assignment is available for an immediate start and offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals in a collaborative and business-critical function.

Job Description

  • Support daily P&L control activities and investigate valuation or reporting issues
  • Analyse profitability drivers and risk exposures across a broad portfolio of financial instruments
  • Prepare concise management reporting and provide actionable business insights
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate business processes using modern technologies
  • Develop, maintain and enhance analytical tools, dashboards and data products
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across finance, risk and business functions
  • Contribute to data-driven decision-making through robust analysis and reporting

The Successful Applicant

  • 4+ years of experience as an Investment Analyst, Risk Analyst, Market Risk Analyst, Quant Analyst or similar
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments, including derivatives
  • Sound knowledge of valuation methodologies and profitability measurement concepts
  • Excellent Python programming skills with experience in analytics and automation
  • Proven ability to analyse and improve business processes and underlying business logic
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • High attention to detail with a structured and accurate working style
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex topics clearly to senior stakeholders
  • Experience with dashboards, data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau) or analytical product development is advantageous
  • Exposure to front-office systems and trading environments is beneficial
