Our client is seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to assess, redesign, and modernise enterprise reporting capabilities across multiple business domains. You will define the target-state architecture, improve data quality and governance, and establish scalable foundations for trusted executive reporting and future AI-enabled data products.

À propos de notre client

Our client is a well-established international organisation undergoing a significant enterprise data transformation initiative. This is a (minimum) 6-month contract assignment based in Zurich with an immediate start preference, offering exposure to senior stakeholders and strategic decision-making. The role may transfer into a permanent contract later on.

Description du poste

  • Assess existing enterprise data architecture, pipelines, integrations, and reporting processes.
  • Conduct end-to-end data lineage analysis across core business processes and reporting flows.
  • Identify root causes of data quality, governance, mapping, and hierarchy management issues.
  • Define and document target-state enterprise data architecture and operating principles.
  • Design scalable data models, governance frameworks, semantic layers, and data contracts.
  • Establish architectural standards supporting trusted, reusable, and AI-ready data products.
  • Recommend automated controls, validation processes, and quality monitoring mechanisms.
  • Collaborate closely with data, analytics, governance, engineering, and business stakeholders.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for leadership teams.
  • Support the creation of long-term enterprise reporting and data product roadmaps.

Profil recherché

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Enterprise Data Management, or Senior Data Engineering roles.
  • Strong expertise in enterprise data modelling, data warehousing, and large-scale architecture design.
  • Proven experience with data governance, data quality frameworks, metadata, lineage, and master data concepts.
  • Experience defining semantic layers, business metrics, and reporting architectures.
  • Hands-on knowledge of modern cloud data platforms such as GCP, AWS, or similar environments.
  • Familiarity with data transformation and analytics technologies including SQL, dbt, Kafka, and modern data stacks.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working alongside senior executives.
  • Ability to perform architecture reviews, challenge existing approaches, and define scalable future-state solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience within retail, consumer goods, e-commerce, or similarly data-intensive environments is highly advantageous.
