The Associate Director HEOR Hematology (80-100%) for Europe and New Markets (a) will play a key role in developing and implementing health economics and outcomes research strategies within the life sciences sector. Based in Basel, this temporary position (start in November, but latest in January 2027) focuses on the successful launch of 2 hematology assets in 2027. Contract duration 6-9 months, with a strong extension option.

Our client is a leading global oncology andhematologyorganization in Basel, looking for an experienced HEOR/HTA & Evidence Strategy Manager (Hematology) to lead HEOR and evidence strategy activities for the client`s hematolgy assets, driving EU Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) readiness for 2 upcoming launches in 2027. Contract duration 6-9 months, with a strong extension option. Working 100% remotely from any part of Switzerland is possible. Choose from 80-100% work pensum.

Your main tasks include:

    • Leading HEOR support for three hematology assets in Europe, including two anticipated launches in 2027, with a strong focus on EU Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) preparedness.
    • Coordinating cross-functional JCA planning and execution across Market Access, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Safety, Medical Affairs, Biostatistics, and Global teams.
    • Supporting the development and implementation of evidence strategies to address JCA, HTA, reimbursement, and broader market access requirements.
    • Identifying evidence gaps and translating JCA/PICO requirements into evidence-generation plans and priorities.
    • Supporting JCA PICO assessment and planning, including evaluation of target populations, comparators, outcomes, and evidence availability.
    • Leading the coordination and review of externally generated evidence packages, including indirect treatment comparisons, real-world evidence studies, and other HEOR analyses.
    • Managing external HEOR and evidence-generation vendors, ensuring delivery of high-quality outputs aligned with JCA timelines and business needs.
    • Reviewing study protocols, analysis plans, reports, and evidence deliverables to ensure methodological appropriateness and strategic relevance.
    • Facilitating alignment among internal stakeholders on evidence-generation priorities, assumptions, and interpretation of results.
    • Supporting the communication of evidence and key findings to internal stakeholders to inform HTA and access strategies.
    • Contributing to JCA readiness activities for upcoming hematology launches and supporting broader portfolio priorities as needed.

Profil recherché

  • Master's degree or PhD in Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Epidemiology, Public Health, Statistics or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in HEOR, HTA, RWE or comparative effectiveness research, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry or consulting.
  • Good understanding of European HTA and evidence requirements; knowledge or experience with the EU HTA Regulation and JCA would be a strong asset.
  • Experience with comparative effectiveness methods such as ITC/NMA and population-adjusted approaches (e.g. MAIC/STC) would be highly desirable.
  • Experience designing, managing and critically reviewing HEOR studies and working with external research vendors.
  • Knowledge or experience in hematology/oncology would be an asset.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to translate evidence gaps into practical research activities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional matrix environment and manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Highly organized, proactive and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
