Job Description

  • Define and execute the category strategy for electronic & electrical components, including cost optimisation and supplier performance management
  • Evaluate current suppliers and identify alternative sources (local and international)
  • Collaborate with R&D to review technical drawings, analyse components, and propose replacements when parts are obsolete
  • Manage procurement activities in SAP: data updates, orders, delivery tracking, invoice control
  • Support long-term strategic projects related to new electronics, PCBA and future hardware developments
  • Monitor market trends, component availability, obsolescence risks and allocations using tools such as Silicon Expert
  • Work closely with technical and production teams to align on operational and project needs
  • Drive continuous improvement in purchasing processes and supplier management

The Successful Applicant

  • Background as electronics technician, electrical engineer, automation engineer, or equivalent technical training
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in strategic purchasing, ideally for electronic/electrical components
  • Strong understanding of PCBA, electronic components (drivers, relays, transistors) and electronics manufacturing
  • Ability to read technical drawings and datasheets
  • Experience with broker markets is a plus
  • Negotiation‑savvy, pragmatic, autonomous, and able to manage pressure
  • Fluent in English and either French or German; both is a strong asset
