Job Description

The Supply Chain Quality Specialist (m/f/d) will be responsible for supporting material qualification and compliance processes within the supply chain, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and company standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Close collaboration with stakeholders such as procurement, manufacturing and technical functions for material selection and supplier evaluation, supporting the development of standardized platforms
  • Ensuring that materials meet the required quality standards for use in manufacturing environments
  • Preparation and maintenance of material specifications to enable release and qualification processes
  • Reviewing and coordinating material-related changes, ensuring proper implementation through quality change controls
  • Supporting the supply chain team on quality and compliance topics, including investigations, change controls, risk assessments and RCA
  • Acting as key contact person for supply chain quality and compliance topics, leading complex investigations and supporting problem solving and RCA activities
  • Promoting compliance awareness and integration into daily operations, including continuous skills development within the team
  • Driving and leading improvement initiatives and business cases to strengthen quality and compliance across the supply chain
  • Contributing to the creation and revision of policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and assessing the impact of changing internal and external guidelines

The Successful Applicant

For this challenging and rewarding role, the ideal candidate brings:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, pharmacy, or a science-related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
  • Experience in quality operations/compliance or in a supply chain/operations support role within a pharmaceutical environment
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken), with the ability to communicate across all organizational levels
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, GDP, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); SAP knowledge is an advantage
  • Experience in change control, deviation management, CAPA, and material qualification
  • Solid understanding of supply chain processes (procurement, material management)
  • Proven experience in leading change management initiatives and process improvements
  • Initiative, coordination skills, and strong problem-solving competence with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to learn continuously and to promote diversity and inclusion within the workplace
