As a Project Manager you will be responsible for overseeing an ambitious high end hospitality property development in the German part of Switzerland, representing the owner in dealings with local authorities and selected contractors, as well as for helping its teams analyze potential investments.

About Our Client

Multi-family office whose direct real estate activities are becoming increasingly significant and focused on value-add strategies, my client mandated me to help them recruit a talented real estate professional to support this dynamic.

Job Description

  • Coordinate all development phases of the project.
  • Ensure the selection of key contractors through rigorous tender processes and contracts negotiations and manage as the owner representative.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive development/value add budget and monitor spendings.
  • Prepare application files and liaise with local authorities to obtain the required building permits and all other authorizations required.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on the progress of development/value add works.
  • Identify key risks and propose mitigating actions.
  • Ensure the quality of construction and enhancement works meets established standards, deadlines, and client expectations.
  • Oversee the technical due diligence on new acquisitions and development/value add projects.

The Successful Applicant

  • University degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in real estate development and project management in Switzerland.
  • Technical knowledge of construction processes and building systems, town planning.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness and flexibility for day trips within Switzerland.
  • Analytical profile, critical mind, ability to synthesize.
  • French and Swiss-German required, English would be a significant plus.
