You serve as the key link between manufacturing know-how and digital innovation. Your objective is to ensure that smart factory initiatives create measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and flexibility directly on the shop floor. You collaborate closely with production teams to analyze existing processes, uncover pain points, and convert them into effective digital solutions in line with Industry 4.0 standards.

Job Description

  • Contribute to shaping a clear and compelling product vision for smart factory solutions (e.g. automation, IoT, digital twins).
  • Ensure alignment with overall company objectives and key stakeholders from production, IT, and operations.
  • Create, prioritize, and continuously refine the product backlog.
  • Rank and manage requirements based on business value, feasibility, and urgency.
  • Define business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria in a structured manner.
  • Collect feedback, facilitate requirement discussions, and communicate development progress transparently.
  • Gather and assess requirements from various departments across the organization.
  • Act as the central interface between technical teams and production specialists, ensuring that solutions are both practical and scalable.
  • Actively participate in all agile ceremonies (sprint planning, sprint reviews, daily stand-ups).



The Successful Applicant

  • Academic degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent) in industrial engineering, production engineering, or a comparable discipline.
  • Strong expertise in manufacturing processes and production systems.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in manufacturing environments, digital transformation initiatives, or IT/OT projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Industry 4.0 and smart factory technologies (IoT, MES, SCADA, PLC integration, cloud platforms, AI/analytics).
  • Hands-on experience with digital manufacturing platforms (e.g. Infor MES, Advaris, SAP Digital Manufacturing).
  • Agile certifications (e.g. SAFe, PO/PM) are considered a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, German is a big advantage
