For our client, an international financial institution with an excellent reputation in Basel, we are currently looking for a highly organized, communicative and English speaking Senior Events Officer who is able to start on short notice on a 6 months temporary contract (with high possibility of extension)!

Job Description

For this role, we are looking for an experienced Event Officer in an international organization who will have the following responsibilities:

  • Providing Event Management services to events organizers in the planning and execution of high-level meetings and events (virtual / hybrid / in person)
  • Managing external service providers in line with the established contractual relationships and agreed service levels and ensure and high-quality service
  • Assisting in the design, enhancement and implementation of the corresponding support processes and workflows
  • Maintaining effective information flow to the line managers and within the unit
  • Adhering to established policies and standards
  • Following control standards and key performance indicators
  • Coordinating contract management and liaison with travel platform provider, airlines, and visa services

The Successful Applicant

  • Commercial degree or similar studies
  • +5 years of experience with Event Management and a clear record of achievement with leading organizations in virtual / hybrid / in person event management, hospitality services or related field, preferably in gained in a multicultural environment
  • Experience in the process of planning, organization, and implementation of the entire logistics of the events / meetings / conferences
  • Very good experience with Excel and Power Point, also other specific event management software tools or virtual meeting facilitation tools
  • Project management experience or knowledge (excellent organization, planning, project and time management experience or skills)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, German is a bonus
