Job Description

This position involves developing, leading, and implementing resource mobilization strategies across selected markets, focusing on Canada, the UK, Europe, and the CIS region.

Strategic Leadership and Resource Mobilization:

  • Develop and execute strategies to mobilize financial resources and engagement from select markets, including exploring innovative financing opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with government representatives, political decision-makers, private sector stakeholders, and civil society partners to advocate for vaccination and immunization initiatives.



Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:

  • Represent the organization at events, briefings, hearings, and strategic meetings; assist in organizing market visits for executives.
  • Collaborate with consultants to monitor legislative and policy activities in key markets and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive awareness and political will in support of the organization's initiatives.



Private Sector Partnerships and Grant Management:

  • Initiate and manage private sector partnerships and ensure their successful implementation.
  • Oversee grant agreements and renewals with donor governments, foundations, high-net-worth individuals, and corporations.



Advocacy and Communication:

  • Draft materials such as legislative analyses, position statements, talking points, and other documentation to articulate the organization's positions.
  • Develop campaigns to enhance visibility and support for vaccination efforts in targeted markets.



Strategic Assessments:

  • Conduct assessments to identify key opportunities and challenges in global health policies and development strategies within the assigned regions.
  • Establish engagement strategies with influential constituencies, private sector entities, and civil society organizations to promote funding and advocacy efforts.



Team Collaboration and Donor Relations:

  • Work collaboratively with senior team members to manage donor relations and ensure timely responses to requests.
  • Support the team's overall objectives by contributing to shared tasks and projects as needed.

The Successful Applicant

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including managing donor portfolios, is required.
  • Strong familiarity with the complexities of political and technical governmental decision-making processes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of current transformations affecting business, industry, and the political landscape, as well as a solid grasp of international development initiatives.
  • Proven track record in managing multiple projects within dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging with and influencing senior-level stakeholders effectively.
