Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on data and information relevant to donor inquiries.
  • Draft letters, talking points, and presentations to support donor portfolio managers in preparing for meetings with government officials.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics with internal and external stakeholders, including scheduling and note-taking.
  • Organize departmental files using SharePoint, recommending improvements for efficient information sharing across teams.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather information or data addressing key donor-relevant issues or specific queries.
  • Utilize internal data systems and databases effectively.
  • Build a network of internal contacts to facilitate access to timely and relevant information for donor communications.



Key Metrics

  • Production of high-quality analyses and data visualizations.
  • Delivery of donor information in clear, concise formats.
  • Timely responses to donor queries.
  • Creation of professional, polished documents for external audiences.

The Successful Applicant

Essential

  • A university degree in public health, public policy, public administration, international relations, development studies, communications, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to craft high-quality talking points and official correspondence in English.
  • Proactive, reliable team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.



Desirable

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in resource mobilization, working for a donor government, multilateral organization, or NGO.
  • Familiarity with Official Development Assistance (ODA) and related topics.



Languages

  • Exceptional written English skills required. Working knowledge of French is an asset.
