We are looking for a consultant who will provide hands‑on analytical, technical, and coordination support to country teams. The role focuses on ensuring that health and immunisation priorities, system constraints, and investment needs are adequately reflected in project concepts, design documents, budgets, results frameworks, and implementation arrangements.

Job Description



Project Preparation and Design

  • Support analytical work required for project design, including costing, budgeting, and systems assessments.
  • Contribute to the drafting and refinement of health and immunisation‑related project components.
  • Support the development of results frameworks, including indicators and performance‑based mechanisms.
  • Review and provide technical input on annexes, activity descriptions, procurement plans, and implementation arrangements.
  • Support alignment between project budgets and overarching application or financing frameworks.
  • Participate in preparation missions (virtual or in‑person) and iterative design discussions.



Cross‑Cutting Analysis and Implementation Readiness

  • Conduct or support cross‑cutting analyses as required.
  • Identify implementation risks and system bottlenecks and propose mitigation measures.
  • Contribute to assessments of implementation modalities, expenditure flows, and contextual or fiduciary risks, including in fragile settings.



Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support coordination with MDBs, government counterparts, and development partners.
  • Help align partner inputs during project preparation processes.
  • Prepare briefing notes, presentations, and synthesis materials for missions and internal decision‑making.

The Successful Applicant

  • Advanced degree in public health, health economics, international development, health financing, or a related field.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience supporting health or immunisation project design in low‑ and middle‑income countries.
  • Proven experience with MDB project preparation cycles, preferably with World Bank/IDA operations.
  • Strong background in analytics, costing, budgeting, and results‑based financing mechanisms.
  • Experience working in fragile or complex contexts is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and synthesis skills.
  • Fluency in English required; French is an asset for specific country context
