Job Description

The consultant will interact with organization users and provide tool support; but also interact with IT to solve issues and work on system enhancements.Transactional Systems and Tools

  • Expertise in Current System Processes: Serve as a subject matter expert on current system processes for all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Operational Activities Implementation: Execute operational activities to ensure transaction systems and tools operate at the defined service level. This includes onboarding of Procurement Service Agents (PSA), partners, and staff; providing Level 1 support and training; managing Level 2 support for all users; and facilitating functional expansion of the platform to meet business needs and corporate priorities.
  • Transaction Monitoring: Monitor various transactions to identify and flag system or user errors.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assist the Lead, Tools, and Operations in defining business requirements with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvements in transactional systems and tools. Focus on achieving simplification, greater efficiency, effectiveness, compliance, and generating data for analytics to support SO objectives.
  • System Upgrades and Testing: Oversee system upgrades and conduct the necessary testing to ensure successful implementation.
  • Supplier Performance Review: Provide input and support IT reviews of IT-related supplier performance monitoring and performance reviews.



Knowledge Management

  • Good Practices Capture: Support the capture of good practices through knowledge management mechanisms.
  • Growth Mindset Cultivation: Foster a growth mindset and explore industry best practices to ensure continuous improvement and enhance overall performance and organizational results.



Coordination with Internal and External Stakeholders

  • Activity Alignment: Support alignment of relevant activities across all Supply Operations Teams.
  • Stakeholder Interface: Interface with other Global Fund teams and stakeholders on risks and learnings.
  • Support Opportunities Identification: Identify opportunities and needs for support from other internal functions or external partners.

The Successful Applicant

ExperienceEssential:

  • Technology Delivery and Continuous Improvement: Proven experience in a technology delivery environment and/or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Project Management: Solid working knowledge and understanding of project management principles and their application in a complex environment.
  • Procurement Processes: Practical experience with procurement processes.
  • Finance Controls and Grant Management: Demonstrated experience in finance controls and grant management.



Desirable:

  • Relevant Work Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, including at least 1 year in project management.
  • Development Organization Procurement: Experience in procurement within a development organization.



CompetenciesLanguages:

  • English: Excellent knowledge required.
  • French: Good working knowledge preferred.
  • Other Languages: Knowledge of additional languages would be an asset.
