The working environment is international, collaborative and fast-paced, with offices located in the heart of Geneva.Job DescriptionAs Operations Officer, you will support the day-to-day execution and monitoring of core banking operations. Your responsibilities will include:Execute and monitor domestic and international payments, including SIC and SWIFT MT/MX paymentsInvestigate and resolve payment exceptions, returns, recalls and rejectsLiaise with correspondent banks, counterparties and internal stakeholders on payment-related queriesPerform daily reconciliations of nostro accounts, suspense accounts and clearing accountsSupport the processing and monitoring of corporate actions across different types of securitiesExecute periodic operational controls in line with internal control frameworksDocument control results and investigate breaches, discrepancies or operational issuesPropose corrective actions and contribute to process improvementsParticipate in risk assessments, internal audits and regulatory reviewsEnsure compliance with internal procedures, service agreements and regulatory requirementsThe Successful Applicant2 to 5 years of experience in banking operations, payments or a similar operational role within financial services.Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration or an equivalent qualification, together with a good understanding of payment flows, reconciliations and operational controls. Exposure to SIC, SWIFT MT/MX payments, nostro reconciliation or corporate actions would be highly relevant.Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken, is required.Rigorous, well-organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage several workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
