Job Description

Software Application Management

  • Software applications refer to content management systems, database systems, business software that are essential to support bank's operations.
  • Related duties will be:
  • Deploying and maintaining software applications to meet operational needs and service levels.
  • Defining, applying, and maintaining application configurations and security baselines, using Group Policy Objects (GPO) or other appropriate tools.
  • Monitoring and optimizing the performance of software applications.
  • Detecting, logging, and resolving potential and actual problems, in line with incident management processes.
  • Managing software patches and updates, including vulnerability remediation, in accordance with the change management process.
  • Managing user access provisioning and deprovisioning, in line with access control policies.
  • Evaluating new software applications and supporting proof-of-concept assessments.
  • Ensuring Applications backup and recovery procedures are in place, tested, and documented.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to date:
  • Inventory of software and licenses used by the Bank
  • Documentation related to software configurations and standard operations.

Database Administration

  • Performing standard database maintenance and administration tasks.
  • Performing routine configuration, installation, and reconfiguration of database and related products.
  • Ensuring database backup and recovery procedures are in place, tested, and documented.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to date documentation related to database operations, administration, maintenance etc

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Supporting audit and control activities by maintaining accurate system records and documentation.
  • Collaborating with IT, security, and business teams to ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Contributing to business continuity and disaster recovery planning as it relates to administered applications.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent. A Master's Degree in Information Systems is preferred
  • Minimum of five years experience in Software Application Administration.

Skills, competencies, personal qualities:

  • Good knowledge of the following systems:
  • Microsoft Server
  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Active Directory, Entra ID, GPO etc.
  • Microsoft MECM / Intune
  • Familiarity with cloud or hybrid environments (Microsoft Azure / Microsoft 365)
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technologies.
  • Location Switzerland
