About Our Client

For our client, a dynamic and rapidly expanding global leader in luxury retail, we are looking for a Head of HR to ensure a high level of performance and employee engagement.

Job Description

You will be part of the global HR team and will have the objective to build and implement initiatives that support leadership and talent development and to ensure programs are aligned to deliver business results.

This includes the following responsibilities:

HR Management

  • Shaping the new HR department by designing, implementing and supervising the roll out of professional HR processes in order to support the company growth in Switzerland and in Europe
  • Develop, implement and maintain all HR policies, procedures and best practices
  • Provide sound HR advice to internal stakeholders on all HR related matters, processes and labor regulations
  • Collaborate on various HR projects and initiatives to ensure alignment across the global organisation

Recruiting / Talent Acquisition

  • Develop hiring strategies
  • Partner with the global TA team to align recruitment processes while adapting to the local needs

Onboarding

  • Full ownership to facilitate a robust onboarding process in order to ensure a positive and impactful new hire experience and to accelerate onboarding and learning

HR Compliance Management

  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure that HR policies comply with regional and global rules and regulations

Payroll

  • Assist in the implementation of any new payroll provider functions
  • Local contact person for payroll, social insurance, pension fund and any other insured benefits

Employee Relations

  • Provide guidance and leadership in various employee matters
  • Provide advice to both Managers and employees on best practices around all people related matters

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Create a feedback and coaching culture
  • Provide guidance on performance reviews, goal setting, annual merit reviews etc.
  • Develop solutions, programs, policies that further enhance employee engagement and a high-performance culture

The Successful Applicant

  • Relevant business degree and/or HR education/certification
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in a HR and proven track record in people leadership within an international organisation
  • Experience in the luxury and/or retail industry is a big advantage
  • Previous exposure with a start-up and/or a fast-growing environment
  • Expertise in local HR legislation, company policies and processes combined with some international HR exposure
  • Fluency in (Swiss) German and English
  • Proficiency in MS-Office, experience with HR systems is an advantage
  • Strong HR leadership presence and the ability to influence and build credibility as a trusted advisor/partner
  • Ability to attract, bind and retain talents to the organisation
  • Big picture person and strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality
  • Strong acumen in navigating others through change such as organisational design and talent movement
  • High level of sophistication and maturity in professional and social settings
  • Demonstrated strength in partnering with stakeholders at all levels and in developing deep understanding of all facts of the business
