About Our Client

Our client is a global organization located in Geneva. We are looking for a Global Head of Tax.

Job Description

Global Tax Strategy:

  • Design and maintain a global tax strategy in collaboration with senior management.
  • Ensure robust governance and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are built and maintained globally.
  • Set and monitor clear performance metrics (KPIs) for global tax strategy execution, including compliance efficiency, cost optimization, and timely response to global tax changes.
  • Act as a key strategic partner across Treasury, Finance, Business Development, Information Systems, and Supply Chain.
  • Evaluate and provide recommendations on tax implications of business initiatives from various regions.
  • Support the design and implementation of efficient and cost-effective tax setups in ERP systems like SAP.
  • Advise on business structuring, intercompany flow optimization, and invoicing.
  • Provide tax expertise to the business and enhance tax knowledge at all levels.
  • Identify process improvement and efficiency enhancement opportunities.
  • Support during tax audits and lead controversy management.
  • Monitor tax and customs law changes.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as required by management.

Regional Tax Management (EMEA / Asia / USA):

  • Lead and manage a global team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and collaboration.
  • Drive professional development and upskilling to ensure team readiness for emerging global tax trends and challenges.
  • Control, compliance, optimization, and strategy definition.
  • Ownership of transfer pricing, tax policy, and legal intercompany agreements.
  • Liaison with tax advisors, local authorities, and local finance teams.
  • Evaluate tax implications of business initiatives from various functions.
  • Ensure global tax compliance and maintain readiness for audits by developing an advanced tax reporting framework.



The Successful Applicant

  • University degree in Law or Economics, with recognized accountancy and fiscal qualifications.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the field of tax and in a similar position.
  • Prior experience in industry.
  • Proven track record of success with strong analytical and cross-functional project management experience.
  • Experience with the Swiss Principal Tax model is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in tax technology and digital transformation, with experience in leveraging ERP systems like SAP.
  • Proven strategic leadership with the ability to align global tax strategy with broader business objectives.
  • Ability to tackle issues at both detailed and senior management levels.
  • Excellent analytical skills and well-organized.
  • Ethical, able to work under time constraints, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills with a focus on empowering a high-performing tax team.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex tax issues to non-tax professionals.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Fluent in English, with French as a plus.
