We are looking for a Translator-Reviser who will play a key role in ensuring the quality, consistency, and timely delivery of French translations. This position is responsible for translating and revising a variety of documents from English into French, including high-priority or sensitive materials that require fast turnaround.

Job Description

  • Translate documents from English into French, including collaboration with external translators for larger assignments.
  • Handle urgent translation needs for short texts and documents.
  • Revise and proofread French translations from both internal and external sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Provide feedback and training to translators to support quality improvement.
  • Post-edit machine-translated content, particularly for internal-use documents, to streamline workflows and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with content owners to clarify terminology and ensure alignment with organizational messaging.
  • Maintain and update the French section of the translation memory and terminology database to support consistency and efficiency.
  • Test and implement new translation tools and technologies.

The Successful Applicant

Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience as a translator/reviser, ideally in the health, science, finance, or legal sectors.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools and technologies.
  • Experience managing and maintaining glossaries and translation memories.



Qualifications

  • University degree in Translation or a related field, or equivalent combination of certification and professional experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Familiarity with global health or international development sectors is an asset.
