About Our Client

Our client is an international company specialized in oil and gas, located in Geneva.

Job Description

Your main focus will be to work with the operations team and administer the activities required for a smooth and continuous operation of barges / terminals and other assets we operate in ARA. You will be at the center of the action and liaise with internal and external counterparties.

Key tasks;

  • Delivery planning, manage supply and demand and timely schedule loads- and deliveries from suppliers / terminals, as well as play a big part in the preparation of blending
  • Liaising with, and building relationships with barge personnel and other service providers
  • Closely work with all stakeholders to make sure the bunkering is happening as efficient as possible for all involved parties
  • Close communications with traders on planning for movements of the product
  • Administering Quality/quantity and making sure to have a proper loss control on the full flow of the product
  • Monitoring and improving/optimizing the performance of the barge operations, making sure barges is planned best possible way and minimizing idle time of barges/capacity not used
  • Contributing to actively improving our operations in close cooperation with the trading team

The Successful Applicant

An energetic and pro-active self-starter with good attention to detail who is familiar with operating in a fast paced, multicultural environment. Ideally you have experience in areas of Oil & Gas operations, bunker barge operations/shipping/the marine industry. Any experience working with biofuel will be high preferable.

You will have an academic education in commerce/administration/shipping & logistics or equivalent industry experience.

You are an Individual who is motivated to always look for ways to improve and deliver better results, have a collaborative and transverse mindset and have great team spirit and positive attitude.

Fluent in both written and spoken English is a requirement and also fluency in written and spoken Dutch will be an advantage.

Experience in a related role is required.
