Therapeutic Support Systems - Includes specialty hospital beds, mattress replacement systems and overlays designed to address pulmonary complications associated with immobility, to reduce skin breakdown and assist caregivers in the safe and dignified handling of patients of size.
In addition to the current team of Health Economic professionals, we are currently recruiting for a Manager Health Economics & Reimbursement.
Job description
Reporting to the Senior Director Health Economics and Reimbursement EMEA, candidate will be responsible for implementing national health technology assessment guidance submission strategies and operational plans for new and existing products
Acts as the coordinator and first point of contact for KCI payer reimbursement initiatives in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
Maintains a comprehensive understanding of the regional health care systems, including health care financing, public and private reimbursement policies, health technology assessments and trends in formulary decision making related to medical devices
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of changes in the healthcare legislation, insurance systems and processes affecting reimbursement activities by reviewing relevant articles and other appropriate information sources
Establishes and maintains working relationships with payer decision makers to understand forces impacting reimbursement decisions for new and existing products
Establishes a close and productive working relationship with other departments within KCI particularly Marketing and Clinical Affairs.
Works collaboratively with other relevant departments within KCI to develop appropriate research, tools and models to support health technology assessments, influence reimbursement decisions and shape overall reimbursement strategy
Provides follow up to appropriate KCI departments to ensure appropriate communication regarding reimbursement activities, requests for information and other related issues
Actively participates in task forces and committees of payor associations
Who we are looking for
Experience/Education:
Preferably Masters in Health Economics or Master of Public Health, or other health related university degree with professional experience in health care or MBA with concentration in Healthcare
Minimumof two to five years experience in reimbursement, government health care financing policy with a preference for medical device reimbursement
Demonstrated knowledge of different EMEA healthcare systems including expertise in health care financing, public and private reimbursement policies related to the medical device industry, and health technology assessment
Ability to interpret and integrate business strategies into actionable, valuable reimbursement initiatives
Skills/Aptitudes:
Professional approach, ability to work independently and to deal effectively in all business relationships while projecting a positive image of the Company
Travel extensively and work with tight deadlines
Maintain confidentiality, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent communication in both English and German, both in written and verbal formats
Diplomatic, approachable, strong interpersonal skills
Working conditions:
Location: open, preferably office based position in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Travel requirements of 10 - 20% to meet with field staff, payors, government agencies, associations and local KCI office are expected
Must be able to work extended hours, as necessary to meet project schedules.
