Project Coordinator - Third Party Packaging Assembly (m/f)
Global FMCG multinational with European Operations HQ based in Switzerland
Multifaceted job with end-to-end project coordination responsibility
About Our Client
Our client is a global consumer goods company with several manufacturing plants and an extensive network of third party manufacturing partners and packaging suppliers across Europe.
In the context of the creation of a new Operations Hub in Switzerland and the centralisation of several functions in a new Swiss office, we are looking for a Project Coordinator who will focus on the business of seasonal products sets.
These sets contain typically a selected choice of products in a sophisticated packaging format and are supplied by third party vendors, which would assemble the different packaging components and place the products.
The core of the job is coordinating from end-to-end the execution of these type of projects, liaising with a number of internal and external stakeholders. The position reports into the European Head of Manufacturing Engineering.
A significant aspect of the job is testing the packaging prototypes provided by the packaging development department (more than 400 transit tests per year) and feeding back on improvement on the assembly or on the materials used.
Another important aspect is the liaison with the third party assembly suppliers, providing them the specifications of the packaging sets (bill of materials, assembly instructions) and following-up with them on the milestones of the project. There is as well a strong interface with the internal production sites and third party manufacturing suppliers regarding the supply of the products that the sets will contain. The target is to have a RFT (right first time) implementation of new sets at the assembly provider before the seasonal deadlines.
Part of the job is as well documenting the different phases of the project in the corporate systems (e.g. bills of materials and weights and dimensions), maintain the project overview and elaborate reports on line tests, transit tests and first production run reports done in-house and on the assembly providers' sites. The creation of assembly instructions, which typically contain pictures and videos, are under the scope of the project coordinator as well.

Only candidates eligible to work in Switzerland would be considered for this vacancy.
